RCC and Gall Bladder Surgery

I had right kidney removed in December 04 for rcc. Started Nexavar on 5/1/06. Worst side effect has been with the gi tract, and pretty well controlled with imodium after a while, but it has had an impact on ability to travel far. Excellent results as to tumors. April ct scan showed just scar tissue. I had a gall bladder attack with acute pancreatitis in August and had the gall bladder removed. For the last month I have had mostly diarrhea and have lost weight. I saw a GI doc a week ago who offered some hope to correct this. He also felt that the med he prescribed would ease the gi issues that I have had since Nexavar. He prescribed questran, a powder that is mixed with water and binds up excess liver bile acids. I have started to reduce the quantity of imodium. At this point my post surgery symptoms seem to be easing. Two things: has anybody else had gall bladder surgery while on Nexavar? if you are having a lot of diarrhea on nexavar even without gall bladder surgery, ask your doc if you can try questran.
