Yes I had a PET scan back in June as my CA125 levels had gone up quite high but an ordinary CT scan could not accurately identify where the tumour was.  The PET scan showed it to be deep in the pelvic area attached to the lower bowel.  This has since been removed and I am now on chemotherapy.  It was identified as a recurrence of my original fallopian cancer and they are hopeful it was just an isolated incidence.

PET scans are much more accurate at identifying cancerous areas than other scans.

Hi , when were you dx with FT cancer??  What stage and cell type are you?  When you orginally found out you had FT CA how were you dx?  Was your CA-125 high then??

Thanks so much for sharing your story with me.

I was diagnosed with FT cancer in Nov'08 and underwent a full abdominal hysterectomy.  I've had 6 chemo treatments so far and have 6 more left.  A CT scan done last week showed some "tissue" at the site of the surgery so we will be doing a PET scan next week.  The CA125 has gone up 2 pts but had been going down till now.  Has anyone had any positive results with the PET scan at this stage?  Is it conclusive?
