After 3 surgeries and told stage two I am trying to deal with alot of different issues.
One will be tomorrow when I get a mastectomy, and then the countless months of Chemo and Radiation. I was told after 8 yrs. of Mammos that the Rads did not pick up on the Cancer.
I am dealing with the situation, but can't get over the anger and wonder why it took so long to discover the Cancer.

I am so sorry to hear about your cancer and the stage you are in. Unfortunately, doctor's make mistakes too. Mine did! I am a colon cancer survivor of 7 mos. 'The chemo gave me another disease...pulmonary fibrosis. I told the doctor about the dry cough I had and asked him if it had anything to do with the chemo and he said NO!! He was wrong and he sould have know that that is one of the BAD side affects of oxaliplatin. It is so rare that anyone gets this fibrosis..... less then 1% in the world. But....had he listen to me and had an xray done, my fibrosis wouldn't have been as bad. I went on for two more months getting chemo. I am on oxygen, need someone to live with me because there are so many things I can no longer do on my own. So you see, I feel your frustration and anger. I also cannot work. I was a realtor making 6 figures. That is quite a drop in income!! That doesn't compare to the health problems I have now. I am on prednisone and that gave me diabetes!! My body has swollen to grotesque proportions. I could go on and on.
I don't know when you will read this as this is the day for your surgery, but I want to say good luck to you and keep positive no matter what happens. I do believe that your attitude is 90 % of getting better. If you want to email me, you can do so at --- Message edited by CancerCompass staff: for personal protection, email address removed. hello, I hope you are well. I am sorry I did not see your notice before today. There are many alternative ways of fighting cancer. I know that mammograms not only often overlook cancer but even sometimes cause cancer. I personally will not have one again. I had breast cancer 2 years ago, had an lumpectomy but refused any other treatments. I just found a lump again in the same breast not far from where the other lump was. I do not trust mainstream cancer treatment any more since I studied the internet for 2 years. Cancer is a multi billion dollar business and nobody kills the goose who lays the golden eggs.
This time I am looking for alternative solutions as it looks like the the survival rate for cancer has not changed over the last 50 plus years, they only changed and shuffled around statistics to make it look better. For example, patients who die of the repercussions of the treatment, like pneumonia, heart failure or malnutrition are not counted as cancer deaths any more to make the statistics look better. I could go on and on, but I recommend you do your own homework.
This time I will try IPT. I will keep you posted if you are interested to hear from me.
All the best and God bless.
