Hi everyone:

It's been a couple of months since anyone has posted info on Avemar.  Does anyone have any recent info on how it has affected cancer in a positive way?  Just heard about this medicine and have ordered some for my mom who has stage 4 colon cancer with mets to the lungs.  She has gone through 2 surgeries, Folfori and Folfox and both have failed on her.  She has only avastin left as an option.  She has been taking a supplement called "Phytoplankton" in the morning combined with "purple corn" extract in the evening to help sustain her immune system.  Please let me know if you have taken Avemar and found it to be helpful.  Thanks.

Hello,

I have used for my husband, did not do anything. It was quite expensive, we spent about $1000.00 hoping against hopes that it will help us. Tarachand

That is disappointing to know.  After reading on all the material on Avemar, I was really hoping that it would be one that can have a significant impact.  Has anyone else taken Avemar and felt a difference?  Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

My hubby loves it, feels it has helped his immune system. He has been on it since his resection colon surgery over a year ago.  He also does other supplements, flax oil and cottage cheese, essiac tea.  He looks and feels great.

There is a lot of great research and information supporting the use of Avemar to complement traditional therapies.  This article is a great starting point with links to the research, as well as recommended use and suggestions...

I treat cancer and it is important to note that there are no treatments that can turn the pathophysiology of some cancers around in a positive way. Some cancers have a physical momentum that not even surgery, radiation or chemotherapy can defeat. I would advise anyone who is contemplating using integrative therapies such as Avemar to use them in addition to conventional therapy. Because cancers are for the most part genetically based they are very unique for each individual. What might not work for one patient will work for another. I have a patient with small cell lung carinoma which you know is veru aggressive. She took avemar and a few other supplements, had one lung removed and is beating all the odds at being cancer free for 4 years now. I feel bad when something like Avemar disappoints someone, but the research on it continues to confirm that is probably the most effective supplement a person with cancer could take. Why people are more likely to take something with only a story behind it versus solid research is beyond me. Thank you for giving me the forum to communicate with you.
