fed up with doctors, what do i do????

I am so upset!  I was suppose to have a biopsy of a lump in my neck yesterday that I had told the ENT was a lymph node, but he insisted it was a nodule on my thyroid.  I figure he was the doc so did not argue.  Well when I was getting the ultra sound for the guided needle biopsy the tech said my thyroid was fine and thet it was a swollen lymph node and that several others were swollen in the area as well.  She tried to call the doctor and was unable to reach him.  I was sent home with the tech shrugging his shoulders as what to do.  He said as far as he knew the doc doesn't do biopsies on lymph nodes.  I called my doctors office when I got home and was told by the receptionist that she would have someone call me.  No one has called yet.  I have several nodules(???) in my right lung as seen by CAT scan.  I have several nodules near my clavicle and several on my neck all on the right side.  I do not have severe pain, but an aching on the right side for sometime now.  I have been to 3 doctors and all  just keep refering me to someone else.  What is wrong with the medical proffession.  Why can I not get anywhere with anyone.  I am starting to feel like all doctors are a bunch of clowns that don't know what they are doing.  I knew it was a lymph node, but how in the heck do you argue with a doctor.  I am at the point of giving up.  Are there no more good doctors out there???

Hello...is anyone there.  Am I the only one having these problems with  the docs and tests.  Would like to hear from someone else who is having similar problems so I do not feel so alone.

Hi you are not alone... My husband was diagnose with prostate cancer three years ago, while going through staging they discovered 2 tumors in his chest.  The prostate was removed then 4 months later  we sought help to find out what the tumors were.  Almost three year leter 7 doctors 3 pet  and 8 ct scans later we have yet to find out what the tumors are.  We are so sick of the run around i feel somtime that their waiting for him to simply drop before something gets done. I am afriad to argue with the doctors and at this piont my husband don't even want to see them anymore.  I thinks it hard to find a doctor who truly care.  Let me know how your case is going. I am tring to convince my husband to go for his next scan so wish me luck.
