I very much would like to have children in the future and would hate to think that there will never be a chance of that happening post-chemo.Thanks~hey i was diagnosed with hl back in march 04, and inremission 10/04...i had stage 4b...at the age of 19...i want to tell u that my dr told me i would have no problem with fertility as well..i like u want to have children but know that it is important for me to wait until my five year clear mark because of the ct scans and pet scans i have had since 04...at one point i was pregnant, however i was faced with the tough decision to abort the pregnancy because i was still have frequent scans done and knew that would be harmful to the fetus...i would never tell anyone this was their only option ...and since i was uncertain to the future outcome..i had to do what i felt was right...i'm confident that i will be able to get pregnant again when the time is right...i knew someone else with hl who fell out of remission at his 3 year mark and i just didn't know what could or would happen to me...anyway on the plus side...i'm almost 5 years diagnosed with a pet scan coming up in feb...if all goes well i expect to be cleared 5 years in oct with my scans becoming once every year ...not every six months like it is now...and then i get my life started...my bf and i would like to get married and start a family ....but all depending on what news i hear...i wish you the best of luck...i know everything will be fine...and if you ever have any questions...i'll be more than happy to help...i know i would have liked help when i was in your position...but unfortunately there was no one with experience in this field that i knew personally...take care

I am a 20 year HD survivor and had radiation, relapsed and had a combo of Mopp/abvd for 9 months. I am happy to say that I had no fertility issues. I got pregnant on the first try! I kept my periods throughout chemo. GL to you!
