Neotame = aspartame = phenylketourics = danger

I have just learned that aspartame has yet again evolved, and this time is much more dangerous than prior evolutions, because this changes the labeling rule.

"Neotame, simply a modified version of aspartame, contains all the same elements found in aspartame and more: the amino acids L-aspartic acid and L-phenylalanine, plus two organic groups, one known as a methyl ester group and the other as a neohexyl group. Joined together, these components equal 8,000 teaspoons of sugar.

Like aspartame, neotame is a very potent and questionable compound, but it does not have to carry the PKU warning, as aspartame is required by law to do, so its addition to all products goes without warning. This is a serious problem for those with PKU, who carry the PKU gene, and are PKU recessive."

PLEASE READ THE REST OF THAT WEB ARTICLE - there is much more information there on how harmful aspartame is, including cancer risks.

Also, I have a blog article on aspartame:

For safe alternative to aspartame, see my article on stevia and fructose:

Other links providing references to the dangers of aspartame can be found in my blog articles, and on the Janet Hull newsletter, and also in my previous message on aspartame:

Sincerely,
