Tarceva

My mother has been taking Tarceva for over 1 month. She has increased loss of apetite & is very fatigued. Has anyone experienced this & is this the norm?

My mom has been on Tarceva for only a week and so far so good.
I have heard that the amount of med. can be adjusted depending on how the patient feels. Not sure how true this is. Hope your mom's appetite improves soon. Take care; know how difficult this is on the whole family.

I start tarciva tomorrow and was wondering if anybody can tell me what to expect once i've swollowed the pill. I know all about the side effects, but was wondering what type of sensations i can expect to feel after i've take the pill. Will it make me jittery, nauseated,hyperactive or what. This has me a little concerned because i have massive drug allergies and i want to know if i'm starting to have a reaction or if the sensation is normal. If there is anyone out there who can help me, please respond as quickly as possible.

Hi Carol. I hope someone was able to reply back to your last posting. My mother just started her Tarceva and right now, she's not feeling any of the side effects, and I guess I'm just wondering how you are doing.

I've read some of the other postings and done some research on the pill, and it sounds like the side effects are pretty consistent. Are these side effects applying to you and if so, how severe, so that I can discuss this with my mother. I hope you don't mind me asking. Thank you.
