My husband was found to have small cell bladder cancer. When we found it it had spilled from the muscles of the bladder into the pelvis but was not found anywhere else, not even in the lymph nodes. He immediately started chemotherapy using the "Dr. Greco Regimen"--Carboplatin, Taxol and oral etoposide. He was to have four cycles of this treatment but after the third, a pet/ct scan showed a slight growth in the pelvis. Immediately we changed regimen to radiation in the pelvis 5 days a week with cisplatin (chem) once a week. We are about to finish this course and are looking for our next form of action. Our oncologist is outstanding and since this is so rare, he is willing to speak to anyone we ask him to. He has spoken to: Dr. Anthony Greco, in Tennessee who specializes in Small Cell Unknown Primary; Dr. Anthony Quinn at USC Medical Center; Dr. Randy Millikan at MD Anderson, in Houston. They all have different opinions of how to proceed. I would like to know if anyone knows who else may be familiar with this disease--perhaps at the Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering, Or ???
Also, What is a NATUROPATH and how do I find a good one in Los Angeles, California?
Thanks,
Eva
