This summer, my pap results were abnormal so my Ob/Gyn sent me for a coloscopy. The diagnosis indicated HGSIL in cervix and endocervix. I was immediately scheduled for a LEEP (next week), but in the interim my Ob/Gyn had HPV DNA testing done. The results were HPV genotyping not detected and no subtypes detected.
There doesn't seem to be much info on internet about people who have HGSIL and are HPV negative. I would really appreciate if someone could give me some answers as to why I have HGSIL. Before my results were known, my Ob/Gyn had indicated that it was likely a result of HPV. Now that we've ruled this out, what is the reason?
