Dr. hunt

Anyone who has or had ovarian cancer that went to what you think was or is the best Dr. for this disease in Calif. please post me the Dr.s name and also anyone who has used the Cancer Treatment Centers of America....your opinion on these hospitals.....Dr.s dealing with cancer only deal with that particular cancer and not the overall body which we as patients need and I do know that CTCA does it all but want your take on it....am looking for hope and the support from my Dr. that I dont feel I have gotten.    Curly66   Always searching, something we all must do for survival.

You don't say exactly where in Calif you are located.  Dr Rettenmaier is in OC and LA counties.  When my mom was in the hospital with ovarian cancer all the nurses said she had the best doctor.  And her was.  Very positive attitude and great care.  His chemo nurses were just wonderful.  Always helpful and always returning our calls.

Hi Jenette,  thank you for responding.   Since I have written I found a Dr. who is an surgeon gyn/oncologist which is what we need with this kind of cancer.  Her expertise is ovarian cancer....I have had one appt. with her so far and she is very thorough...she is internationally renown and is  at Cedar Sinai.     You didnt say how your mom is doing?   Please keep me posted....I used to live in the area the Dr. lives in...south Orange County.
