I will note that my periods have remained normal, & I have had no abnormal bleeding.Your doctor did the right thing suggesting a pelvic ultrasound...you are so young I really wouldn't worry that it is cancer though...it could be pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), endometriosis, possibly benign tumors or cysts....all of which are easily taken care of...I'm sure everything will turn out fine for you.
