Need info on graviola please

Hello my 11 almost 12 year old yorkie was just diagnosed with TCC.  They Vet believes it started in the bladder and is also in the prostate.  They said my dogs survival time is anywhere between 2-4 months.  I have opted not to put him through any surgery but have recently started him on Piroxicam.  I have also seen some postings about something called graviola. When I asked my vet about it she had not heard of it.  Could somebody who is using this or has some information about it tell me if it's ok to use with Piroxicam and what exactly is it suppossed to do? I know my dogs diagnosis is not good since they say it's in his prostate but I am trying to do as much as I can to help him.  Any information would be appreciated and I was wondering if anyone else has had the diagnosis of TCC being in the prostate of their dog  and has their been any positivity using piroxicam I would love to hear about it.  Thanks!

Hi. First, best of luck to you and your little guy. My baby, Mac, a 9 year old Scottie was diagnosed with bladder cancer last week. He has been given less than six months due to the size of the tumor by his traditional vet and an oncologist. I actually took him to a holistic vet in my area (Central Florida) who has given me some hope. She treats dogs with this condition and has been treating another scotty for 5 months and his tumor is shrinking and a beagle for almost two years. I can already tell Mac is more comfortable, and that is so very important to me. He is also still on his piroxicam. Best of luck to you and your dog. Consider the holistic approach. I'm all for taking a big swing at this

Graviola is a tropical fruit found all over northern Brazil, and probably other tropical regions. It is either sold here as a whole fruit or as frozen pulp for juice. Just saw yr message. I don't know its properties. According to my Portuguese-English dictionary (Websters) it is known as 'cherimoya' (Annona cherimola). Good luck with yr pet.
