Arimidex, Femera, Aromisin Causing Autoimmune Disease

Hi Everyone,
I have tried all three and was finally taken off after 2yrs because of severe joint pain. I have now been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my wrist and it has moved to my ankles and feet. I am 55 yrs old and think it is too coincidental that all this started when I was treated with these drugs. Has anyone been diagnosed with an inflammatory arthritis or an autoimmune disease? I have gained 15 lbs from these meds and steriods I have to take for pain.

Hi, Just wanted to mention that on breastcancer.org, there are quite a few messages from women who have contracted fibromyalgia after being on these drugs, mostly arimidex.
THeir onc's have told them it's NOT from this drug, but each one said they never had a problem before being on it. I'd say the medical community is trying to do the ostrich head burying on this. More women should be concerned and bring it to everyone's attention.

Hi. I have arthritis in one knee that is swollen. . . clearly from this femara. . but I sure hope it's not RA. I guess the fact that it's only in one,would say it's not RA.

I also suffer with joint pain and do have arthritis. I have had breast cancer for 12 years.....took Arimidex for 4 years....that quit working and now I'm on Aromisin. I still have joint pain but I'm alive thanks to these drugs and have a great life!! I can live with the joint pain----if indeed it's even exacerbated by the meds.
