The two tumours in the bronchial area remain cystic and necrotic in places and the overall assessment is stable so now onto my 20th month of MRCC and taking sutent. Sutent is considered still to be the best drug for me -- however there were signs of three tiny lymph nodes in my upper abdomen and they are going to keep an eye on them --- the consultant stressed he and the radiologist had considered them in some detail and concluded sutent is still working and they are not worried about the lymph nodes because of my overall condition but we will know more in January 2009 when I get the next scan. If they have developed into anything then the plan is radiotherapy and/or surgery and maybe a different drug --- but for now its more Sutent and a very up beat Consultant! Confusing or what?
Has anyone else had a similar diagnosis and if so what did it mean?
