Cervical Cancer Questions!!

Hello... last year I had a clear pap test (11 months ago) However, now I am having pain on my lower abdomin and have been spotting after sex. My periods are also extremely heavy. My Dr. tested for Clamydia & Goneria (SP) and also did a pelvic ultrasound...all tests were clear. He then told me to wait and see if my symptoms go away (I'm 43 yrs old). After doing some research on line I called him back and insisted on having a pap test. Is it safe to assume that if your previous pap was clear that this isn't cancerous or pre-cancerous. I hate to be a worry wort...but, somthing just doesn't feel right. Thanks for listening!

Well, I went to see a different Dr. who actually took me seriously and did surgery to see what was going on. They removed the lining of my uterus and since then I haven't had any problems. No periods.. nothing. It wonderful. But, I think you are too young for that. I'd say that if you can't get your Dr. to take you seriously, go to another Dr. It's your life... your health. Good Luck!
