My loved on is 26 years old and just stopped smoking. he got sick and went to the doctor and they found "spots" on his xray and now we are waiting for an MRI. Is there a good chance that this coul dbesomething other than Lung Cancer? he is so young!

Yes, it could be something else. 26 is a little young to get lung cancer. The symptomes of lung cancer would be a cough, coughing up blood, pain in the chest, shortness of breath and getting tired easy. The MRI should help and a biopsy may be needed at some point.
Make sure he doesnt smoke again as lung cancer is almost always caused by smoking.

I am a 58 year old mom and grandmom. I never smoked and was told 4 years ago I had lung cancer. I never had a cough or any pain. It was a check-up. I was given 1 year. Well after cheo,and radiation.Alson many mri,pet scans and everyother test they could do. They found out it is in my left ribs [4],pelvis and now 6 of my verb in the back. Them they found 2 brain tumors. One can,t be taken out ,because it is to far in the brain,the other is in the top of the brain in the back. I guess I am greatful that I don,t have a lot of pain at this time. I take hdro every 3 hrs.and a morphin patch I change every 3 days. Starting next month I will go to a pain clinic,to see of there is anything else I need to do because I know it is going to get bad soon. 2 years ago they said I wouldn,t live 1 year and I,m still here. I can only say the good Lord is looking out for me and helping me deal with this Cross I have to bear.I pray for you and hope you will find peace in this experience that we all are going though.
