tumor sitting on trachea pushing on vocal cord.

My husband was diagnosed in 2007 for esophageal cancer the tumor was removed close to chrismass 2007, and life went on Oct 2008 CT scans show a tumor setting on his thoracic inlet on the left of the trachea pushing on his left vocal cord. doctors havent said much except its a recurrence of previous oesophageal cancer and havent disguised surgery as an opinion at this point. just treament and see how things go.I need some help please with anyone who has experienced the same story or has heard of anyone or any doctors in any part of the world who can shade some light on this.I know when doctors dont say much its not good news but i refuse to give up on him my husband is only 40yrs old, if anything happens to him he will be leaving behind 5 young kids who love him and need him dearly. kind regards
