Going through RAI next week, doing thyrogen shots for the first time (this is the 2nd time for treatment for me) My Endo has me on the RAI diet for one week. I've heard since I'm doing Thyrogen shots and still taking Levothyroxine at the same time I don't need to do the RAI diet.  Any ideas??

The jury is still out on that one.  I did thyrogen and was forced to do a strict LID.  Others didn't have to do it at all and still others were told to stay away from salt and fish.  You are not going to get agreement on this one.

Most of us came to the consensus that it was better safe than sorry!

Hi!  I am scheduled for my 6 month scan on the 12th and will be getting my thyrogen shots on Monday and Tuesday and I am MISERABLE on the LID.  My surgeon did not tell me to do it for the RAI, but the nuclear med doctor recommended that I avoid sea food, dairy, processed foods....

good luck, Nicole, I'm right behind you!

I got the "good luck" part right!  :)

I did the thyrogen shots and was on a strict lid too. I agree better safe than sorry. Make the banana muffins in the thyca recipe book. They are yummy and saved me from going crazy!
