treatment, herbs and elevating tumor markers

i was diagnosed with l/ca in 2006 mestatic the drs think from br/ca in 1996 and mestatic brain ca in june of 2008, i feel very good most of the times, had the chemo, taxater and the others that go along with it and ended up with numbness in my feet, legs and hands. but i am still able to do all i have to do thank the good Lord! without Him i could not do anything. i have been taking and herb called lglutamine and reisha mushrooms. 6 teap a day of the first and 2 of the latter taken from  the advice of a friend who was diagnosed in 2005 with lung and brain ca, given 6 months and to live, she is now ca free. i have been on the lglutamine since 2006. the dr. okd it. my question is my tumor markers and the alkaline phostase and the liver enzymes have continue to rise out of range for the last 12 weeks. i get blood work every three weeks along with herceptin and i take 4 tykerb tablets everyday. i have gotten off the herbs this week just to see in about 6 weeks to see how things will be looking. the dr has told me i can still take the herbs along with all my medicines. i would like the opinion of taking herbs with the chemo drugs. also i had chest pain and had to go er and was told its reflux and the chemo meds could be damaging the lining of my stomach, thanks for your help. i pray for all cancer survivors everywhere. be encourgaed.
