I'm not sure whether you're looking for alternatives to a specific type of cancer, or all cancers, but you are welcome to look at my blog articles that speak to my own alternative regimen for breast cancer:

Hi, I had colon cancer 13 years ago. I went through the cut, burn and poison.

Never again.

There many alternative  cures out there, you just have to look for them. I found plenty when I started looking and I have been cancer free for12 years now and am doing great, at 75 years old.

I don't know what type you have, but if you go to my blog you will find lots of great info about cancer and other diseases. One thing you have to do and that is stop eating what your eating and geton a organic diet and stop Soda, Diet or other, Stop all sugar, stop MSG and High fructose corn syrup. All white flour and anything made with it.

Now for centuries we lived off the land and didn;t have chemicals ingested into our bodies, and we didn't have cancer then either.

On my blog you will see an article on The OCC cancer cure, Read that and explore the website and read the many articles I have placed there.

And when you get through there go to the www.cancertutor.com

Good luck and don't give up keep looking

Hi. I agree with the person that responded on 12-05 (had colon cancer). I have Base of Tongue cancer and cancer in lymph nodes of my neck. I cannot tell you the outcome yet, but I have refused chemo and radiation. I went to Bio-Medical Center in Tijuana, Mexico. I am on a strict diet. No preservatives, no processed sugar (that means no more junk food!), no salt except sea salt. I try to eat only organic fruits and veggies. I eat some chicken and/or turkey but keep it minimal. I drink lots of organic juices and eat lots of blueberries. I drink de-caf. green tea and eat raw almonds also. these are some of the acceptable items in my diet. Veggies are mostly broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and some potatoes. I take the herbal medicines that have been presecribed to me. Is it working? Don't know yet, it has only been just over one full month now. It seems to have gone down, but only an x-ray will tell for sure. I plan to get one after three months, just before my next appointment in Tijuana. I went to this clinic because numerous people (online and some I spoke with over the phone) have told me it works. Why tear myself down (with chemo and radiation) when I can build myself up by eating nutritious foods and taking vitamins? If I fail, then I will know why, but I believe I will succeed. Being positive is part of the battle, but some things you cannot just will to happen. The method just has to work. When I arrived at Bio-Med several people I spoke with were being treated with positive results (tumors were shrinking). This method does take time, however (6 months to 1 1/2 years), and it requires a change in lifestyle (no more McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, etc.). It's not easy. When ever I leave my house I must plan ahead and bring my food with. To me it is worth it. I am now more healthy and feel better. I gain two things at once! Thx.

beautiful story. Me too. No chemo, no toxins, all organic, tons of supplements plus apricot pits, eleuthero, red clover and more. Now about 1 year past my prognosis and very, very healthy (some fatigue). Stage 4 since Nov 06. Squamous Cell, Tonsil was primary. My blog at http://cancerspiritualtpath.blogspot.com/ list of supplements are on that blog.

Too soon to say much yet. I learned of my problem in November and immediately began a supplement program high in beta carotene. In December I received the diagnosis of thyroid papillary carcinoma and began doing heavy duty nutrition research. I told myself even though this is my first cancer, it is my fourth tumor and I don't want to lose all my body parts! Thyroids are important too. Now I'm loosely following the "Cancer Battle Plan" by Anne E. Frahm. "Alternatives in Cancer Therapy" by Ross Pelton was very helpful as was the old standby, "Prescription for Nutritional healing." Just by feeling my neck, the node feels like it has shrunk to half size—like from a large olive to a small one. So that is good. If it's not gone in four months I will probably have surgery, so I am juicing and sprouting and cleansing... I'm viewing this time as an attempt to save this little organ.

Stephen Barrett and Quackwatch has recommended that folks stay away from Cancertutor.  What do you know about Stephen Barrett?  Also, I'm having a hard time convincing my wife to look at some alternatives due to the lack of data available for said alternatives.  Any suggestions in this area?

It seems to me that it is very difficult to judge the effectiveness of various treatments because there is little control. What if, for example I smoke and did nothing more than drink a certain herbal tea, while another cancer patient, a non-smoker, coupled the tea with a raw and juicing diet? What if a third person was eating good and avoiding sugar and white flour, drinking various cancer fighting teas, doing daily coffee enemas and colonics, oxegenizing their cells, taking nutritional supplementation and keeping a positive healthy outlook. Who could say if the teas does or does not work?

Checking back in here 8 months later...

I gave the alternative medicine 5 months and then had another ultrasound which showed no change, so I went ahead with the TT and RAI.
