Hi All - I have had requests from a few people along the way for info about tong ren. I thought I would pass this along since it is a fair explanation
and is written by an MD from this area. Dr. Daly began coming to the local "guinea pig class" within the past year (believe it was last winter but
not sure since we have a steady stream of new people weekly, and the faces often change. He has been a very regular attendee at our Saturday
afternoon group, and had been diagnosed with prostate cancer when he came to us. He chose to do no surgery, chemo or radiation, so unlike
someone like us who uses tong ren as a complement to conventional treatment, he chose to use it as an alternative to treatment. His PSA has
dropped several times since he began class. When I saw him last Saturday he had his most recent PSA and was in remission.
Thought it might be interesting to at least a few of you since he has actively practiced medicine for many years now. The rest of you may feel free to hit "delete". If it strikes a chord for anyone, we practice via internet and phone as well as in "guinea pig class". I can email anyone the info on where to find schedule for any of the above, since it changes from time to time.
Tong Ren Therapy – An Overview
Tong Ren Therapy, an exciting and powerful form of energy healing, is the product of Tom Tam's* research and 25 years of his experience as a healer. It combines the science of Western medicine with the wisdom of ancient Eastern healing. Eastern medicine has long held that each organ in the body is kept healthy by the natural flow of chi, or energy, and that an interruption of these necessary bioelectric signals leads to disease. Western science has developed an in-depth understanding of anatomy and neurology, along with sophisticated technologies to track the body’s health status.
But Tong Ren is not simply the sum of two sciences. Its healing power grows a quantum leap by harnessing a tendency in nature that we have all observed: synchronicity. The perfectly synchronized movements of birds flying in a flock or fish swimming in a school are not coordinated by the usual senses of sight, sound, smell, feel or taste, but rather by brainwave entrainment. The human brain has a Frequency Following Response, tending to change its dominant electroencephalogram patterns toward the frequency of external stimuli. A natural propensity toward gradual synchronization is even seen in non-biologic systems, such as two pendulum clocks side-by-side on a wall. Tong Ren Therapy utilizes this synchronistic tendency to bring diseased organs back into harmony with the healthy bioelectrical patterns of Tong Ren practitioners, but even more importantly into entrainment with the larger and more powerful collective unconsciousness.
A hundred years ago pioneers such as Carl Jung and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin began writing about the ongoing development of a sphere of collective unconsciousness. As an anthropologist, Teilhard traced the natural evolution of life on earth, from the development of cells, then plants, through animal and finally human form. Subsequent evolution has turned from outwardly-visible biological evolution to internal intellectual development, and now toward global organization of spirit-energy or a collective unconsciousness. Regardless of our awareness, we all participate in this progressive sphere of organization. Tong Ren Therapy allows us to tap into this vast reserve of health sustaining energy. And because the healing power does not come from the practitioner alone, his or her energetic state is not taxed, unlike that of traditional Chi Gong masters.
Tong Ren practitioners use an acupuncture doll as a tool. Focused intent is applied to particular points on this anatomic model, usually with a magnetic hammer. This allows them to focus their conscious minds on those points on the doll that directly correspond to areas in the patient where the normal flow of nurturing chi is blocked. This rhythmic and habitual tapping produces a connection between the practitioners’ subconscious and the corresponding locations on the person's body, a connection that allows entrainment of the diseased organ and patient with the healthy bioelectrical signals and the vast healing energy of the larger collective unconsciousness. In this way, a Tong Ren practitioner is like a piano tuner, whose hammer strikes wires of errant pitch so they may be brought into harmony with a series of tuning forks, each of which produces a complex waveform. The actual re-tensioning of the cords is accomplished not by the tapper, but by an
unseen assembly of Maestros.
The accepting recipient feels energetic change, and his or her medical tests show signs of improved health. Tong Ren is frequently successful and health is restored in many circumstances. We have noticed over the years that its efficacy grows in direct proportion to the expanding number of people practicing and healing with Tong Ren, thereby participating in the accelerating evolution of our collective unconscious.
Most Tong Ren practitioners have themselves been healed or have healed loved ones in this manner. Experiencing this level of deep healing first-hand is intriguing and powerful, and has encouraged people to share this experimental technique. Tong Ren practitioners do not make medical diagnoses or prescribe medical treatments. They depend upon medical tests and diagnoses to ascertain the origin of a medical condition. Practitioners do not promise a cure or successful results, and do not interfere with traditional medical advice. They can only invite a patient to synchronize with healthy collective energy, and allow that exposure to stabilize or cure an ailment.
