Peter's mom

I haven't been on the this web site in quite some time. Bussy with work, the holidays and Sherod's treatments. I feel at times my family is falling apart and I am the only one there to pick up the pieces. Sherod went in on Dec. 11th to have his 4th round of chemo. He had to stay in the hospital for 6 days while getting his treatment. I have to take him back in today for a recheck and to get his blood counts checked. He seems to be doing good, but he has lost so much weight and his walking seems to become more and more chalenging every day. I know he would like to use a wheel chair but I feel that if I let him then he wont have any desire to walk. He doesn't seem to be in any pain while going thru chemo. I asked him on a number of occastions if he has any pain at all and he always says no. Is it typical for people not to have pain while in chemo. I noticed that everytime we go in for a check up that is usually the first thing they ask him. I was wondering how Peter is doing, so if your out there Peter's mom send me a message......I hope everything is fine

He is doing ok for now. The Dr.'s told us in March that there is nothing else they can do for him except pain management. He is still going to school and he is even taking Drivers ed class 3 times a week. He does seem to be in more pain now, but he still keeps going. I will pray that your son will continue to find the strength to fight everyday and continue with the positive attitude.

Peter is going to school all day.  His cancer has not progressed any further.  Peter like your son fights the cancer everyday.

   I so glad to hear that Peter is doing ok. Is he geared up for golf yet? I know our kids started practicing last week. I hope he has a good time with that. I think about the both of you from time to time and wonder how things are going. Sherod is going to be going to Camp NF again this year and is very excited. I don't know if they have a camp UCANDO there but it might be worth it to look on line or ask the CCA about it. The Childrens Cancer Assosiation has alot of information about camps, and other resorses out there for parents and children with cancer.

   If you need any help getting hooked up with anything just let me know. It took me a while to find out about the great stuff they have available and for little to no cost to get our kids out there and interact with other children.

    Well I'll be on line off and on today untill about 2:30 so if you need anything just drop a line.

Peter is excited about golf but he won't start helping out the golf team until the fall.  Can you please email me info on the stuff they have for the kids.  I think that would be wonderful.
