My dad <3

I found this site while searching for information on squamous cell cancer. The doctors called my house Christmas Eve morning confirming my dad, 63 years old to have this cancer. This has been so scary for my family and me but I am glad to hear so many of you are doing well now. My fathers cancer is in stage 4, and is wraped around his carotid artery, and is effecting his lymph nodes. My dad is going to Hacensack Hospital with Dr. Rosen. But, My mom would like him to get a second opinion from Sloane Kettering... Ron: I read that you went to Sloan for your treatment, please can you give me some information and feedback on how you felt in regards to their care, etc. Also, can you give me some information on the whole journey. Im not very familar with the whole process and I am very worried because i will be away at college for most of his treatments. Thanks! & its great to hear you are doing well! Also, has anyone else been effected by a mass which wraps around the carotid artery? if so how did they treat this? Thanks for your help and support, Demetra
