I am from Bombay (India) and my mum was diagnosed with GBM early 2009... we were advised to follow the standard radiation / chemo protocol, and no doctor suggested Ruta. I actually first heard of it while browsing through the Cancer Compass site like a woman possessed with finding a "cure".

My family did visit Dr. Banerji's clinic in Calcutta (now Kolkata) and were very impressed with him and his advise. After clearing it with our doctors, we put my mum on Ruta and she was on it till the month prior to her passing, in Feb this year.

Did it help? Well, we believe so. She had an inoperable tumor which was large and rendered her bedridden from the very beginning. She enjoyed almost 1.5 of her 2 year struggle, and when we were given 6 months prognosis, we attribute her 2 years to Ruta & my mom's spirit and love for all of us.

I'd recommend it to anyone who is willing to have a little faith.. throw everything you can at it if it doesn't harm the patient.

Dear Sonia,

I am from Bombay as well , My dad was diagnosed with AA III in operable tumour in the brain and we were also given a 6 months prognosis in July this year. He has finished his radiation and chemotherapy last month. and I can agree with the word ' women possessed with finding a cure'...coz I feel the same way. I did go through the website and was very interested.

Kindly confirm if this is the website : http://www.drpbanerji.com/ that you contacted with re. to your mom. Et did they courier the medicine to your home in Bombay as mentioned on the site.

Also while taking ruta , was your mom able to walk with or without help, this would be very helpful to us since my dad's tumour is in his thalamus which controls the balance and he cannot walk without help at all or even turn sides.

I would be very grateful for your reply.

God Bless

Reasha.

Patty,

Your husband's story is so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing it. My husband has a large melanoma tumor on his lung. I contacted Dr. Banerji and he recommended the protocol; however, my husband must have IMRT, intensity modulated radiation therapy, due to the size of the tumor and his level of pain. Dr. Banerji explained that the protocol works better without chemo or radiation. The fact that your husband did well with the protocol even with chemo and radiation gives me hope. Thank you.

Hello,

I am sorry to hear of your mother's recurrence.

The very kind Dr. Banerji sometimes takes a few days to reply, as he has so many email inquiries and patients.

This is the website.

The Ruta protocol discussed here seems to help a lot of people, at least with a dramatic lessening symptoms, and some reports of complete regression.  Dr. Banerji seems to recommend the same initial dosage for everyone - alternating Ruta 6C and Cal Phos 3X twice a day - and for more acute cases recommends the same dosage 3 times a day, or every 3 hours, as another user stated, 5 of the Ruta 6c and 2 of the Cal Phos 3X.

With homeopathic remedies, the active ingredient is so diluted there is no danger of any overdose or toxicity issue. There seems to be no contraindication to using it in combination with chemo or radiation treatments (in many related experiences, it seems to help those treatments).

We found the Ruta 6C at a local Whole Foods store, but couldn't find Cal Phos in a 3X dilution locally.  We ordered it from 800Homeopathy. com - their phone number is 1-800-466-3672 - it was very inexpensive and arrived in 2 days via priority mail (we already had the Ruta by then but you could probably order it too from them too).

If you're not familiar with taking homeopathic remedies, it's important not to touch the pills with your fingers - tip them into the cap and pour them into your mouth.  Let them melt under your tongue (sub-lingual).  Do not eat, drink or smoke within 15 minutes before or after taking the remedy.

I had been to his clinic in matunga west, and you need to take his appointment before you visit him, as he sees very few patients in a day, spending a lot of time with each patient. He spent around three hours with me, discussing my dad's case.
