I'm new to the boards. I've been reading them for a while now and just signed up. My husband was diagnosed with Collecting Duct carcinoma in June '08. The news came as an absolute shock, as it does everyone else. My husband is only 25. We have a 19 month old son. We were living in Italy at the time. He's in the Navy.
I was wondering if anyone knew about this type of cancer. I am obsessed with finding info. I hate seeing my husband so sick. He had sugery in June and then was started on sutent. It worked for 2 cycles then failed on the 3rd. Now he's on gemzar with cistplastin. Anyone know about this combonation? He had his first dose 12/31. I'm hoping, hoping this works.
