Hi,

My dad was diagnosed in October with stage 4 lung cancer. The CT showed it on the lung liver lymp nodes. He went to a local nutritionalist and they had him on all kinds of supplements and a very strict diet. He had to Chemo sessions and in the meantime I did researchon the IVC. He had his first treatment today and came out of there feeling much better. So different than the chemo treatments. He does however have a problem with not producing blood and has had over the past few monthe 13 units of blood transfusions. We are with a great nutrtionalist now Dr. Reisman in Nashville. He is committed to doing everthing he can to help restore his health. Everything I have read about this therapy has been encouraging if you can look past the opinions of the "professionals". It is amazing to me that with all that has been acomplished with IVC that they still think your crazy for trying anything other than chemo. His oncologist continues to puch my dad into at least doing both but he has decided to just do the IVC. Please keep him in your prayers for those of you that read this and have a prayful heart. I believe this is giving him not only a better chance to live longer but a better quality of whatever life he has left. God Bless!

Good evening nonnyg Kudos to your dad for having the courage to step outside the box in his treatment choices. I personally opted out of all traditional treatments(2004) and went with diet and supplements and intravenous vitamin c treatments as well and have had good success. I'll send you a private message with a copy of a message i posted on this board some months ago about other successful outcomes using these protocols. Since you mentioned the problem your father is having with his blood production perhaps there is help for him using the product Avemar. I have a great deal of information on this natural dietary supplement, which is a part of the protocol I use and is highly recommended by my medical/alternative doctor but I'll just add a couple of links here and you can let me know if you'd like to do more research on it........http://www.braintuner.com/transtechlinks.htm ...... Avemar (also called - Ave) - this is a natural food supplement derived from a specially fermented wheat germ developed in Hungary . Avemar's many benefits apply to numerous types of cancer. Clinical trials have shown Avemar reduces cachexia (condition of weight loss and wasting seen in cancer patients), it inhibits glucose metabolism in cancer cells (depriving them of their energy), it strongly stimulates the immune system and inhibits spread of cancer cells (metastasis). Avemar is also very powerful in restoring red blood cell production in bone marrow following radiation & chemotherapy. ..................... http://www.holisticcancersolutions.com/avemar_report.htm If one reads carefully the scientific papers, it soon becomes clear that Avemar's anti-tumor and anti-metastasis capabilities do not depend, to any degree, on being supported by chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Quite the opposite. It can be strongly argued that such toxic treatments will neutralize the beneficial effects of Avemar. Of course, the new product had to play a submissive role to the official toxic protocols in order to be accepted by the medical establishment...........Best regards to your father. Please keep us posted as to his progress....Sheila _______________________________________________________________

Deena,

Glad to see someone else out their believes in alternative medicine, I also had my mother on IV Vitamin C along with other supplements, that were suggested by her alternative physician, she was also taking conventional medicine at the time, but not chemo, she was taking anti hormone pill. Her cancer went in to remission in 3 months, however she had complication of a perforaited bowel, I truley believe that she rid of too many cancer cells too quickly, and her body did not have enough time to rid herself of all the debri left behind. that is why they usually have on and off courses of treatments, to allow the body to get rid of debri. When we stopped alternative tx, she was still in remission, and still taking the femara, however cancer recently came back, and I truely believe it was because we stopped the alternative tx. Well, were heading back to the alternative Dr. now. Best wishes to you and your father!

To build up his blood, make sure your dad is taking a high quality B complex vitamin supplement, and eating foods that are rich in B vitamins (most of these foods are also great cancer fighters.)

I have a series of articles on the B vitamins on my blog, plus a few recipe ideas - the articles list the best food sources of B vitamins.

http://motherearthtreasurechest.blogspot.com

(On the blog, enter vitamin B in the search box at the top of the page - that will bring up the B series articles.)

Two things that are especially helpful and are very easy to add to foods, especially smoothies or juice drinks, are deactivated powdered brewer's yeast, and powdered lecithin:  2 - 3  tsp brewer's yeast twice a day, and lecithin as directed on the label. Brewer's yeast can sometimes be bitter - that is why it is most often recommended to take it in a smoothie or juice drink.

You can get brewer's yeast at health food stores, at some grocery stores in the organic section, or online.  I use Swanson Vitamins a lot - here is one of their brewer's yeast products - look at the product label and you can see just how nutritionally action-packed this supplement is.

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW329/ItemDetail?n=4294967190

Brewer's yeast and lecithin also both come in capsule form, if your dad would prefer to take them that way.

Sincerely,

Tre
