Hi, My name is Bob and I was diagnosed with 4th stage Renal Cell Carcinoma one year ago (1/22/08). It had matastisized to my liver. I went to the Mayo Clinic in Jax, Fl for a 2nd opinion and they agreed with my oncologist's findings. After undergoing much testing and scans, the doctor who was in charge of my testing, told my wife and I that I propably had "give or take" one year to live. I have been taking Sutent 50 mg. since Feb. 2008 ( 8 Cycles ). The largest and original tumor on my left kidney had shrunk significantly and the 7 tumors on my liver have also reduced in size. I went to the M D Anderson Clinic to have my left kidney & about 60% of my liver removed. When my surgeon went in, he did an ultra sound directly on my liver and saw that one of the tumors was too close to my portal vein for him to operate. He told me to go home and continue taking sutent and when they shrink some more, especially the one near the vein, come back and he will remove all of the infected area. I have also been drinking 3 or 4 oz. of wheatgrass daily and an oriental concoction called Bing Du Ling which is made from medicnal herbs and roots. My last CT/PET scan done on 12/1/08 shows that the tumors are still shrinking but not enough to allow surgery. I am now considering taking a supplement called AHCC. There is alot of information about AHCC on the internet. I'm trying to find someone is is taking it along with sutent. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank's Bob
