Alternative vs. conventional

I believe that the majority of Medical Professionals in the area of cancer are doing what they think is best. I also think that Oncologists think that some of the alternative medicines may interfere with what they are doing because they do not know anything about those medicines or herbal treatments. Most doctors promoting natural treatments were in the mainstream medical profession at one time. Many of them kind of stepped out of the box to try things that weren't accepted in the Medical field. The American Medical Association does not promote much of the natural herbal products because common knowledge of the effects were not researched completely by the AMA, pharmacies etc. A lot of it never will be researched by major medical companies. There are, however companies researching natural products in a big way these days, and there is a lot of research happening in conventional treatment as well. Both products are getting better. Some of the new conventional treatments are way better than they were 20 years ago. For instance at Karmanos cancer center in Detroit, some of the radiation treatments have got so precise on the places radiated there are no longer large burns for some treatments. The technology is getting very sophisticated.

hi paulee I agree a lot of things are changing. Just it so slow I remember research found way back in the 1950 that most cancers are course by saturated fats entering the cells of the body the thing is if patient don’t know this. They will have treatment go home consume more saturated fats so a few years later. The cancer comes back. After treatment I think doctors need to inform patients of this the thing is I believe only some informing there patient about this. When I was first diagnose my doctor at the time lead me to believe I be dead in five years if I didn’t have this treated very quickly, so I made appointments with two specialist doctor to get it treated this cost me over $3000.00 of money I didn’t have I told them my weight they said come and see me. see what I can do after seeing them I was told I was to over weight by both of them to do the surgery I feel all they wanted was the fee of $280.00 that I had to pay after Ives seen them for the full three munities why did they ask to see me if they didn’t want to help me I feel all there after was the money later it developed in to advance prostrate cancer a scan a year a go showed I had it in my lower back and my ribs I thought at the time if they had done the surgery a year a go way way back then I thought I be OK . Now I know I was so wrong I found out that when we have cancer it not one part of us that sick but the whole of our body that sick. I was so ill two years ago I couldn’t walk down the end of the street with out having to sit down now I can run down there and back. This is all because I went and seen some one who know about cancer my naturopath Debby she put me on a diet that had plenty of salads and vegetables. But no sugar, no red meat, no process foods of any kind , and high dose of vitamin and minerals especially vitamin C. A scan a month or so ago showed the cancer in my bones had gone. But I still have cancer in my the primary site my prostrate and my psa had gone up to 13. I feel now that if and When I do decide to have the operation and the primary cancer site taking out I won’t get secondary cancer now my naturopath Debby would only charge me a fee of $80.00 a time when I have seen her she would hand me a diet plans and advice on what to buy it money will spent the first time I seen her I was in so much pain with in a week or so the pain was gone and over the next year I slowly felt better so why didn’t my doctors at the3 time do this for me why did they send me home in pain to die I mistaking believe in these doctors the doctor I have now give me advice when I need it and his been incredibly help full hes recommended a urologist in my home town Ive spoken to patients who have had the RP by him they told me then can still get erection and have no problems what so ever he go’s in by the perineum seems like a better idea then the other ones I read about these two new doctor I found I know I would trust but the others I met two years ago to me are only cow boys sorry this is so long you struck a nive all I saying is becarfull what doctor you trust with your life Ray

You arent kidding. Get a lot of opinions, and you can tell if they are only interested in getting you through their door for a lot of money. Hope you are alright now.
