Hello to whoever reading my experience.Im 24 yrs old and I had a LEEP done Dec 16, 2008. I was scared at first but it turned out not to be so bad. I was put to sleep.I felt the normal afterwards. I was able to walk like nothing happen. I had a couple of cramps, but they went away when I took the Motorin. I didnt have alot of bleeding going on but alot of discharge was what I a had. It been over a month and Im still having discharge. I feel very uncombortable at this time. I always have to wear panties linen everyday. The LEEP procedure has change how I feel alot. I wasnt expecting for my discharge to still be here this long. I had my first period and my first two days were heavier than ever. If anyone has the same experience please feel free to response.

It sounds like everything you are experiencing is the norm, however if you are concerned call you Dr's nurse and get some reassurance.  I am not happy to hear you still have the discharge, because my LEEP was 1/9 and I am sick of the discharge and bleeding.  keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Have you discussed this with your doctor? Have you seen the OR report? Are you showing any signs of infection (yellow discharge, bad smell)? How well does your body tolerate burn wounds? And lastly, do you have any metal allergies? If so, what are they?

In some cases, the cervix does take about six weeks to heal. But if the discharge doesn't let up, see if something else is going on. I asked the above questions because I had discharge for three months. The first two months, I had a nonstop river. By the third month, it had slowed to a creek. But I still had to wear pads.

In my case, there were two problems. The doctor botched the LEEP. (I'm not saying your doctor did.) But more than that, I have metal allergies. I can't even wear surgical steel or titanium earring posts. LEEP was described as electricity passing through a wire that causes the tissue to give way. Initially, I was impressed with the inventor's clever use of electricity/radiowaves. Unfortunately, the missing information is that electricity heats up a piece of metal, and when the metal is hot, it burns out part of your cervix. I would never have agreed to LEEP, for that reason, so the results of a metal burn wound on one of the body parts of a woman with those kinds of allergies was disastrous.

But do go over the questions I asked to see if that will help you have an answer.
