bad pain after colpo & biopsy

Hey girls, I was wondering if anyone has gone through the same issue as me.  A month ago I had my after LEEP 3 month pap smear that came back abnormal, so my doctor had me come in 2 weeks ago for another colposcopy and a biopsy.  The biopsy came back CIN 1 so my dr is having me wait 6 months until another pap.  However, the past 2 weeks i have been having bad cramping.  It has gotten worse every day and no one really seems to believe me that I think something is wrong.  My doctor thought I might have a UTI so i went in the other day for testing and it turns out I do not have one.  I'm wondering if it's possible to get an infection from the colposcopy or biopsy.  This morning I woke up and the cramping is so bad that my back and legs hurt.  Has anyone had any of these issues?

I'm sorry your PAP smear came back abnormal. Were you told you had clean margins, after the LEEP? The scary part about LEEP is that the hot wire leaves burn marks on the edges of the margins, so it can give a false negative. It may be that your doctor did not get all of the dysplasia. Please insist on getting copies of all of your lab reports so that you can see what has been happening. Make sure there is no dysplasia in the endocervical canal or the endocervical glands.

Let me also give you some links to help boost your immune system so that you can clear up the remaining dysplasia.

Trehouse has a wonderful website with information for helping women.

Tany01 and Chemiszt24 also used alternative medicine to boost their immune systems.

Insofar as cramping is concerned, it is possible to get an infection from any gynecological procedure. Do you have any unusual discharge? Does it have a bad smell? Have your doctor test your for bacterial vaginosis. Have you had any other pain, and if so, where was it located? Did your doctor pull a muscle, ligament, or tendon during the examination? You may also want to talk to your general practitioner or get a second option if your doctor isn't able to pinpoint what is causing you pain.
