LEEP, but no dysplasia or cancer? help

Does this sound familiar to anyone??

History: Abnormal bleeding for well over a year and half  After sex, exercise, any heavy activity, I would bleed and not stop for 2-3 days. Never had a bad pap, ECC came back with inflamation and irritation, no dysplasia, but on the scope exam (hysteroscopy) looking for uterine explanation the doc spotted a 'leak' in the endo cervix that was dripping blood.  Tried hormones and antibiotics, 1 1/2 weeks ago we tried a leep to scoop out the 'bad' portion of the cervix.  Procedure was fine, recovery not so fun, lots of discharge the first week, watery pinkish grey like the dr warned me about, the last few days there has been quite a bit of bright red blood, not what I was expecting, but I figure (hope) its just things healing up.

My question is, and I know this is a cancer site, but has anyone had the LEEP for a reason other than dysplasia/cancer.  I haven't received the results of the biopsy from the LEEP, but after 2 other negatives I assume (hope) that is what it will be.  My problem is that this has been going on so long, it is really disrupting my life.  I am done with kids and even though it seems severe I wish the Dr would just do a hysterctomy.

The last year I have felt run down and crabby. My husband and I have a great life; sex, love, family, the whole 9 but this is really doing a number on all of that.  Lucky for me he is in medical field and extremely understanding, even interested in how I am doing.  I am sick of the usual, "ha, I guess you were still a virgin" joke when there is blood on the sheets though.

I guess I just want someone to tell me the LEEP fixed all my problems because 1 1/2 weeks after the procedure things are back the crappy way they were before.  Of course, honesty is appreciated

What did your doctor mean by "something leaky in the endocervix?" In addition, what kind of LEEP did he do? Did he just remove the ectocervix? Or did he also do a cone biopsy? Did he do any other kind of scan? Did he try to get a biopsy of the "questionable" tissue before doing a LEEP? If he felt it best to do a cone biopsy and the answer to your condition seems so evasive, why did he not do a cold knife cone biopsy for accuracy? Did he recommend a second opinion? Something about what your doctor has done leaves a lot of unanswered questions.
