I thought that I had left a message on 1-20-09 . Ican't seem to find any responses to it.My sister has been told to go out and enjoy her life as the prognosis is that there are only 3-4 months left.  She is in good spirits and has somedays that are not all that great.  My ? to anyone out there is what are we to expect as the illness starts progressing.  She has metastatic breast cancer in her brain (balance center) has been effected as well as her hips, femur.

Hi!  So sorry about your sister.  Have they done anything for her brain tumors?  My mom has 2 brain tumors (+ mets to liver as well).  Mom had Whole Brain Radiation in July 2008 then Stereotactactic Radiosurgery in Sept. 2008 and tumors shrunk (not gone but total 60-70% reduction).  She is currently taking Xeloda for the liver mets.  Again, have they offered any kind of treatment for her brain tumors?

amy64.... my sister had whole head radititon done in 05 now she has had cyberknife radition done one the two spots in her head.  we went to onc.  on2-3. ..............just for a checkup to see how she is getting along.  so far she still gets up in the morning with a smile on her face.  she has problems with seizures on occasion where her legs won't hold her up.  we have gotten he to use a walker when we go out of her house.  today was the first time she has been out of her house  since then.  we aren't going to let ehr turn into a hermit.  she still has a great attitude and none of us are giving up.
