I had a hysterectomy last fall, leaving my ovaries. All pathology was clear, no cancer found, yeah. But to my surprise this year, my 1 year followup pap found Stage 0 vaginal cancer, also called VAIN. I am wondering if anyone has heard if there is a link between this and a higher risk for breast and/or ovarian cancer. I am wondering if I should have my ovaries removed. I know the procedure would be simple, done laproscopically, but not so sure about the whole hormone thing. What do you out there know? cupfuul of hope
