Hi. I'm glad it's here to read, but I'm just wondering why all the Sutent topics are in the RCC area. My mom was dx'd with anaplastic cancer on her thyroid. It was removed right before X-mas and then was told many nodules on her upper chest were anaplastic also. She took her first Sutent pill today, so all you posters here are helping us tremendously. However, when I go to the 'lung cancer' area, I don't see any posts regarding Sutent. That goes for the 'Thyroid cancer' area as well! Thanks, Larry

This is the Renal Cell Cancer Board so all questions usually are about that subject. The use of Sutent in other cancers like thyroid is probably in its testing stage. Sutent does seem to shrink cancer that have metasized to the lungs so they are expanding its use in other area.s Have you checked the Thyroid Cancer boards there may be info there. I wish you mom good luck in her fight and hope the Sutent helps her lung mets. Many cancer drugs start out as a drug for one type of cancer and then they find it works in other. I hope that Sutent is one of the drugs we need help for all types of this disease
