my dog Lexus, a 4 year old female american pit bull terrier was diagnosed with stage 4 out of 5 lymphoma about 6 months ago. she has been undergoing vincristine treatments and just finished her 8 week course. unfortunately, i also have an intact male and he bred with her (accident) when she went into heat a month ago. it was just one time when he escaped his kennel. I think she is pregnant despite all the vincristine treatments for the lymphoma. her abdomen looks distended to me.
my dilemma is....should i have her spayed and abort the puppies (which won't be "normal" due to the chemo) or let her have the pups and then euthanize them? I'm afraid of both spaying her and letting her give birth, but i want to due what will be less stress to her body.
please help me!
