Hello Vitaliy,
First off, I want to let you know that I have no experience with any of those clinics you asked about, but I did want to make you aware of thread involving someone who did go to Oasis of Hope and Issels last summer. I guess that even though they are in the same building, they have different protocols. The thread abruptly ends with no real conclusion, but maybe you can try to contact the person directly with questions.
I did look at the sites for all of these clinics you brought up. They all report success stories that are very encouraging, but it is hard to know if the successes were due to these alternative treatments or some other factor. The cases they present always focus only on the alternative treatment and never mention what other medical treatments the patient was receiving which may have been the cause for the response. In nearly all cases these patients are receiving some kind of traditional therapy in addition to the alternative treatments offered at these clinics. They also never present any data on how often the patients do not respond. If they treat 1000s of people each year and only a very small number show improvement it is reasonable to conclude that the treatments are not beneficial. There is not enough information presented to know that if this helps or if it is a waste of money.
The problem is made worse because there are so many rip off artists that will lie to you and try to sell you garbage that has no hope of producing any benefit. These types of products are generally classified as homeopathy which fall outside of government control and frequently talk about removing mysterious toxins and parasites which you don't have. Just last week I was reviewing a website that claimed they could cure any cancer by using coffee enemas and irrigating the sinuses with natural oils.
My father died in July from a rare form of prostate cancer. He chose to receive chemo and radiation to fight his disease. These traditional therapies had no effect on his cancer and actually accelerated his decline. We spent over $200k (most of it covered) and countless hours with traditional medicine, yet it is clear that he would have lived longer if he had just focused on maintaining his nutrition and did his best to remain active. I still feel his choice was the correct one because it gave him the comfort and power of knowing he was fighting his disease as best as he could. I feel sad that I lost him and I miss him very much, but I am very happy that I never tried to push him into any treatment plan and that he always decided what he wanted to do.
What sort of treatment options is the oncologist giving you now? Also, is your dad's health such that he would have a good chance of tolerating the treatment? Let your father know your thoughts, but make sure he picks whatever option he likes the most. Only he knows what's best for him.
