I am writingin regards to my mother who acquired both dementia and breast cancer that metastsized down to the bone. I have been seeking legal counsel in the state of Florida that will accept my claim in behald of my now deceased mom that will address my mom's ingestion of Premarin ONLY for a sum of 30 years. Please help, I have at least 18 months before the statue of limitations will run out on me.

I too had been taken Premarin for ten years and at the ten year mark developed breast cancer. There is no familiar history. I believe there is an ongoing study on estrogen only drugs to see
the actual relationship it plays. I know there is at least a hint that long term use of ERT plays a role. I haven't heard any connection with dementia. If you understand the role that breastcancer therapy such as Tamoxifen and Armidex etc. play, working as ANTI-estrogen, it baffles me why there is still question whether the reverse, given menapausal women estrogen long term can play a role in the development of breast cancer. Once the study results are released it may add support and then you may find attorneys willing to take a case but you need support for a claim. Good luck! I would be interested to know how you make out.
