My husband was diagnosed with CLL about 4 years ago. Has pretty much stayed under the radar having monthly (now every 3 wks) IVIG treatments for the past two years and two rounds of luekeran which brought the wbc down but reeked havoc with platelets. Now he has to start campath next week, 3x week for 12 weeks. His last bone marrow biopsy showed 97% of cells being bad. My question is - what are the down sides of campath ? The doctors are making it seem like it won't be that bad of a treatment - and will do him a lot of good. I know there has to be more to it than that....
