I have a pap smear wednesday

I started spotting on feb 14th, and stopped the next day, I also had cramping for a few days before that so I thought oh, my period is early this month.

Well  on the 23rd (this week) I started bleeding normally, but moderate. The next day the 24th I was gushing, and i mean I had blood pouring out of me, I was afraid to move, it was that bad. Along w/ that I was passing huge blood clots a few times an hour. This is when I called to schedule my annual pap (I did not inform them of my bleeding issues). Well the next day on the 25th my bleeding was slowing down and not the bright red color anymore, but more brown. That night I stopped bleeding altogether. Well the next morning by 11 am on the 26th I started bleeding really heavy, bright red blood and clotting some (not as bad as the 24th though). Now today still bleeding lightly brownish color. ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION DURING THIS TIME I HAVE NOTICED A LOT OF MUCUS.

I am FREAKING out! I originally thought this was like a fibroid or something but after googling cervical cancer symptoms, I am scared to death. Does this sound like something you went through if you were diagnosed w/ cervical cancer?

If yes then how long where you having problems before you went to the doctor, and what stage cancer did you have, and how did you handle it?

I realize you are frightened, and it's only natural because this is your body. Anytime something doesn't seem right, you're going to be alarmed. But please remember this could be caused by a lot of things. In addition to a PAP smear, your doctor needs to do a thorough pelvic exam to rule out other causes. In addition, make sure your doctor gives you a thorough explanation of possible causes and to send you copies of the results when the lab report comes back. This way, you'll be able to make the best decisions possible.

Thank You, I am trying to stay calm. Not knowing anything is driving me crazy, but I called and had my appointment bumped up to Monday. I just need to stop w/ the what if's I keep stressing about.
