Liver Transplatation

my mother (50y) was diagnosed klatskin disease and doctors see the liver transplantation as the only way to do something about the disease. has anyone been in the same situation? and what does this mean, does anyone know, please?

bile duct cancer of the upper part of the bile duct is called a Klatskin tumor. Usually the patient will present with jaundice or abnormal liver tests. A stent may be placed to help the jaundice but the only cure is surgery. Sometime surgery is not possible depending on where the tumor is and in this case a clinical trial may be offered.
If they are suggesting a transplant , then removal of the tumor is probably not possible.
