After RP and Radiation PSA number(Confused)

Good Afternoon folks

I am really confused about the psa number, what it means and how much cancer is really there?  First, some history about me.

I am 54 soon to be 55 year old and before surgery my psa #=4.2.  I had RP July 11, 2008, results were Moderately differentiated PC involving both lobes, pT2b, Stage 2, Pos Margins in Left Apex and Left Posterior MID., Aug 18,1st psa=0.24, Oct 20, 2nd psa=0.24, Started IMRT Nov 22, finished Jan 20.  1st psa after radiation =0.12.  Next psa scheduled for Sept.

Should I be concerned about this?  Is PC still there?.  If the next number rises does this mean something to take action on?.  Know one has ever said how much the number system means and how much a number difference means in the amount of cancer.  I met another man who was getting radiation because his psa number rose from 0.03 to 0.05.

I appreciate any help, concerned about where to go from here.  Still recouping from the imrt.  ED is there an trying the caverjet inpulse for help.   Thanks again for any help.

After RP and IMRT a undetectable PSA is ideal. As long as the next psa declines the radiation is working. Diet and supplements are very important to deter further growth of PC.  I have advanced prostate cancer and after my reocurrance my only treatment is alternative. It has been working effectively the last 3 years. Your future is in your hands. Take advantage and read some of the past posts how some of us battle this beast and win.
