High Psa Readings - Negative Biopsies

In Nov, 01 I had a psa of 5.5. From then to Feb, 05readings have been between 4.7 and 6.8. Oct 20,05 my last test reading was 8.6. I belong to health net and have been assigned 3 different urologists. They seem to have a different approved physician every year. I have had 3 different biopsies (each about 6 samples) all have been negative. I am concerned that some other test needs to be performed. A Biopsy is no fun.
Anyone have any suggestions? Oh, I am 63 years old. I have been told that the psa test is sometimes not reliable.

I wouldnt worry too much about those PSA's at your age. Do you know your Gleason score? PSA velocity or doubleing rate is of greater concern. Yours is a little high, but not changing much. You could discuss radiation therapy or a prostatectomy with your doc, but I wouldnt like those options. You are doing fine. Hang in there.
