Yes, i use artemsisin and have researched it a great deal. I use it along with xeloda and femara to treat stage 3 breast cancer.
I think within a few years you will see artemsinin offered as a treatment option for a variety of cancers.
Anyway, my naturopath and oncologist reccomended it. You need to purchase either Allergy Research brand or Nutricology. Make sure you get one of these because they have been tested for potency and met the standards. I read on the internet that the dosage that seems to do the job is 500 mg/twice a day, away from food. One of these doses should be at bedtime because thats when the immune system is at its lowest.
So, the Allergy Research (just go to www.allergyresearchgroup.com ) is 100 mg white capsules. 200 mg is what they have listed as a dosage but the research says 500/twice a day. So, you need FIVE in the morning or sometime in the day and FIVE at night before bed. A 300 capsule bottle will last a month. Ive never noticed a side effect. Its also suggested to take it for a year and then a maintainance dose after that or if no problems, just continue..but check with a naturopath on that.
Watch the liver enzymes while taking this and adjust the dose if necessary. Also, dont take an iron supplement with this drug.
I'm no doctor...just a cancer patient whos done alot of research and happens to take Artemisinin.
Good Luck!
