I too was very glad to find this site. I had surgery last June to remove a large abdominal mass and was told I had a rare cancer with unknown beginnings. It was determined that I had stromal uterine sarcoma. I then had a complete hystorectomy in August. I had no chemo or radiation and began taking Femara in November and by February I was a mess with terrible joint and muscle pain, I could hardly walk. I then switched to Aromasin and have been on it for just over a month and have really bad pins and needles in my hands and feet. I do also take the dreaded Celebrex, but my joints and muscles feel much better, it is just the numb hands that are really bad. I also have bad hot flashes, but they are beginning to subside to every 2 hours or so!!!!!! and I take Ambien CR to sleep.

I guess I am am asking about the discomfort from the Aromasin and if it is permanent. Also, those of you who have tried acupuncture, do you think it would help? I have my 2nd CAT Scan this week since surgery and I will see if the meds are working.

The other concern I now have after eading the messages is the bone density loss. I had my 1st test a few months ago and it was fine. I am gathering that the Aromasin is leading to bone loss, but how fast and severe should I expect this? I am taking the Calcuim D each day, but can that be enough prevention?

Thank-you to any and all that respond!!!!!!
