hello--i feel a kind of bond with your mom.thankfully diagnosed in time to be classified 3c endo cancer instead of your moms stage.my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.i went to sloan k hospital in nyc.they have a wonderful oncology program for all womens cancers.i'm as your mom 57 years old now and grateful to be almost 3 years cancer free.i will tell you this even though it may be painful for you to hear.you must ask your mom what she wants??i've already informed my family of my wishes should my cancer return.they are very simple.when i say no more treatment there are to be no arguments.period! hospice that great home care organization will be called and i will have my final days weeks or whatever around my family and pass away in my own bed.is your mom on antidepressants?yes, they do definately numb your brain but i feel they helped me a great deal in my darkest hours.iwish you all the very best. stayin alive f

My mom (57) was dx 8/08 with Stage IV Endometrial Cancer that metastatised in her liver, lungs, brain, and bones. Currently she is on the 10th day of her hospital stay because of extreme weakness and pain from the bone metastatis around her hips. Her oncologist came to see us tonight and basically let us know that she has less then 6 months because her body is too weak from radiation, he's afraid to do any chemo for a few weeks until she can get stronger, get her blood and platelet count up. By the time he'll be able to try a new chemo he's afraid that the cancer will just continue to spread. So what I'm looking at now is different options. Me and my dad don't know if she'll want to continue fighting. She is on some strong pain killers so we haven't had a chance to talk with her. Now I'm looking at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Probably their location in Chicago. Anyone have any experience with them?-Oscar
