multiple myeloma/curcumin

i am posting this in two areas because of the overlap. I have not been here before, maybe this is a frequent topic, but I am looking for information from anyone with soldering myeloma or mm who has tried curcumin. I particularly want to know how slowly you went up on the doses.
I have talked my spouse into this. His doctors are skeptical and early on they asked that i not interfere with pain meds (compression fracture, L-5) so they could know what was working. Well, his numbers are going in the wrong direction so I figured it was now or never. He has taken 1 gram for several days and goes to 2 tomorrow, but after than I'm not sure how long to wait before moving up. We are trying to take it two hours away from other meds, and we are not using any Advil or NSAIDS. He is still on Lipitor, but i plan to ask them to check his cholesterol before he gets higher doses of curcumin, so he can cut back or drop the Lipitor and stay on the curcumin.
Thanks for any advice. If anyone knows an oncologist in Iowa who is supportive of curcumin trials, let me know that too!!

This site should keep you busy for days.  This is THE site dealing with MM and Curcumin.  Tons of research and practical tips on using Curcumin for MM from a lady that has MM and has used Curcumin to control it:

Also, check out www.grouppekurosawa.com/blog.  They have a great anti-cancer protocol that centers around a substance called Methyl Jasmonate and a few other compounds.  Their protocol has had reports of success with various types of cancer including MM.

Thx for that link, it is fabulous!  And you're right, it is not something you read all at once.  But great content on a variety of topics surrounding MM.

I have just become familiar with curcumin and it is quite facinating.
