Recurrent Non-Hodgkins

My husband (72 years old) has been in remission for 4-1/2 years. Initially he had CHOP, then Rituxin every 6 months.  Now the cancer has now returned. Needless to say, we are rather depressed by this news. What I am trying to find out is what treatment works the best in this situation and honestly, what are the odds?  The doctor doesn't think that it has transformed, so we are looking at B-cell, indolent.  Thank you.

I am so sorry this cancer has returned.  My husband also has non-hodgkins, but his is diffuse large B-cell and his started in his brain.  He is in remission, has been for almost 1 year.  He has had 3 recurrences now.  I wish I could give you some answers but I can't.  I just want you to know you are not alone.  Good luck to you and your husband and stay strong.

My 87 year old mother with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma has been on Rituxin for 6 months and she was doing fine but now the Dr's say she has Lymphoma of the Brain and want to radiate and use Chemo. What are the side effects and is she too old for these treatmemts.  She is experiencing some memory problems.

She was living by herself but we are now going to get her 24 hour live in help.  What would happen if we did not do Chemo or radiation?
