odd ordor

hi, i have been posting a couple weeks. i have been on fmla to see about my dad. 5 years ago he dx with stage4 rectal colon cancer, and had to get a colon bag and has been on chemo for 5 years, now the cancer has mets to liver, and 17 lyph nodes, he has had liver ablation and rad 4 months ago. last month we found out he has maxed out on all chemo and the cancer too aggressive for anyother. well, i go out for state every week then back home everyother week to work and be with hubbie and our 2 kids.  my dad is still functioning and working, be is going down fast. well last month i noticed a strange smell, light not too strong. my dad has always smelled great all my life and still has great hygeine, this past week i can tell this smell is stronger, it is a strange metal,- and meds, and like a toxic smell. it smells like it is comeing from dad's pores, like i said he still has great body and teeth cleaning routine. is it the cancer i smell,  has anyone ever noticed this before?   thanks

Yeah,my brother had this when he was here with cancer.They told us the chemo comes out the pores of the body.Very weird thing...metalic

he has been off chemo now for 7 months, i was afraid the cancer is progressing as fast as the dr says it is. dad is getting weaker by the day, it is harder for him to work, and he is trying to find a way to pat bill on retirement. dad is only 55. the hubbie and i are going to put in a transfer with our jobs so we can move in with him and mom so we can pay the bills for him and he can retire. but we also are worried about getting health insur for him and mom as good as the bcbs he has now.    sorry i got off track.    i am just worried since smell  is getting stronger.   thanks for reply

yes my husband had a metel smell to his arms much stronger after a shower  when his arms were wet it was very strong.

we keep asking the dr what it could be 6weeks on we were told that he had cancer. i dont no if this is the same thing.
