Friend With Stage 4 Liver Cancer~started as Breast Cancer

Hi, I am new here. I have a good friend who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cancer. She started off with Breast Cancer 5 years ago but tried Alternative Medicine. She found someone who swore he could heal her Breast Cancer. He advised her not to even get an X-ray done because it would pollute her body. Several months ago she was in so much pain she went to a real doctor and found a suspicious spot on her Brain and Liver. About 6 weeks ago the spot on her Liver went from a suspicious spot to full blown Cancer. She doesn't want to believe the diagnosis nor does her family. Last week we were told it was stage 4. I was not told what the actual diagnosis is just that the doctor said there was more Cancer than Liver. Can someone live without a liver? Can I give her half of mine if so will it grow into a full liver? I promise you this is not a prank...I really am trying to find options to save my friends life. If I have no options then I will accept what comes our way I just want to try to help! For years my friends and I kept telling her to see a Conventional Doctor along with her Alternative doctor but she and her husband refused to hear what anyone had to say. I am not a doctor but am feeling like the end is near. She is Jaundice and is eating baby food if or when she eats. She did get one round of Chemo and they are waiting on a test to see if it is helping at all. Unfortunately she is a few states away from where I live. I am planning to go to see her the first week of December. I was wondering if anyone had been in a similar situation and how did you handle it? It’s like there is a Pink Elephant in the room and everyone acts like its not there. Thanks for letting me share.

11-17-05 Internet research on "patented" product called POLY-MVA might prove to be beneficial to your friend... Look into ESSIAC TEA also... Have nothing to lose with everything to gain... Safe with no side-effects... Can buy both at health stores. Had brother who died 2 years ago of liver cancer... Difficult to get people who ONLY believe in FDA & AMA approved treatments to be open-minded enough to try alternative possibilites. Tell your friend to ask LORDGOD for help with wisdom, understanding, to believe there is an answer available. HE says in HIS Word that if ..."YOU Call Onto Me I Will Answer Thee...And...Show Thee Great And Mighty Things Ye Know Not." FAITH--->HOPE--->CHARITY is progression to receive an answer.(A)sk...(S)eek...(K)nock... and don't stop until she gets an answer. May LORDGOD richly bless you! --- Message edited by CancerCompass staff: for personal protection, email address removed. Liver Cancer

My Mother passed away last month from this awful disease. The worst part is that Liver Cancer is detectable in the late stages only. By the time my mother and I knew of the diagnosis.. there was basiclly nothing that was suggested as an option- we went to several doctors for opinions and were just stared at with no suggestions.. the doctors would just tell my mother and I that with chemo she would have 2 months- And the fact that there is no compassion in the medical field that we experienced during this time was evil. In the past we always had good experiences with doctors-But it seems that when one has no options available that you are brushed aside and the only answer these doctors give is " Call Hospice" which we ended up doing and they were really weird. They really aren't that different then Doctor Kevorkian. I dont mean to offend anyone involved with hospice- this experience has left me angry with the medical profession for the fact that there should be so much help/options for cancer patients. To me, it seems like Cancer is a business. I am sorry not to really give advice- but All I know is your friend is going through a hell of a lot right now and I pray that there is doctor who can help!

I am so sorry that you and your mother had to endure a lack of compassion on top of the blow that your mom was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. I am at such a loss right now, my friend is in such denial and so is her mom and hubby (who I blame for convincing her NOT to seek conventional treatment). When she dies they will say "she didn't have enough faith" take it from me...she does, unfortunatly it won't be enough. Sad part is she has 4 young children and by denying this she is denying the time she needs to say GoodBye and finish any unfinished business. I spoke to my OBGYN yesterday she said that my friend might have 7 weeks if she is lucky. The fact that she is already eating baby food is NOT a good sign. I know I need to love and let go but it has been hard. I am encouraging EVERYONE to get a breast exam and do it ASAP. As I am writing you the Radioligist office called and has asked me to come in for some additional pics. I had a Mammogram yesterday, they want me to do an Ultrasound of my left breast. I am hoping it is nothing but wanted to share the importance of a Mammogram I am sorry for your loss, thanks for listening and for responding. I am sure that your mother is very proud of you and the love and support that you have given her through out your lifetime together.

My aunt was just diagnosed with Stage 5 Liver Cancer a couple of weeks ago. I have been researching for something that might help her. A friend of mine gave me information on a product called Cellular Defense which apparently has had some very amazing results. I signed on so my aunt can get wholesale prices. If you would like to check out the site it is http://mywaiora.com/1855179 ALSO...I came across another company in Victoria and have also ordered or some of this product. It's plankton. The webiste for that one is http://www.umac-core.com/ Between the both of them and lots of praying I am hopeful that she can beat this. I was told that one of the most important things is a positive attitude. I have read testimonials on both of these products that give me reason to have hope. Blessings, Linda

I just got off the phone with my lil sis. Lauras Antigen level is 3500. Before Chemo two weeks ago it was 1500 but the Chemo has done nothing. Her liver is very inflamed and she is in alot of pain. My sisters neighbors father was told he might have 6 good weeks left, his Antigen level was 2500 at the time. I love Laura and CAN NOT believe that things have gotton sooo bad sooo quick! My heart is breaking!!!!!!!!! I am hoping to go to FL next week and take her for an afternoon at the beach. I am working on a loving tribute of pictures and videos that will honor her. I am planning to use the song called Think of Laura by Christopher Cross and wondered if anyone had any suggestions to make her life tribute a memorable one. I am also planning to make two hundrend large pink ribbons with a pic of Laura on it. The Ribbon will have her date of birth as well as the date of her Memorial. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am not giving up I am simply planning to give her the best send off possible so that when she looks down she will smile and say wow!

There is a man a farmer i believe, who had liver cancer, who said that God gave him this reve- lation about Dandelions, apparently he was only given months to live, he said that God told him how to prepare it as well. There is a special way he prepares it. He said it cured him and he is cancer free, and he makes it up for you and charge nothing, because of how he got the information. look up dandelions and a special way to prepare them, i have the info but i need to find it. hope this helps. starangel0833

There are many options....there is a live transplant and if you are compatible you can each have half a liver and it will regenerate to the size you need. my dad had 60% of his liver resected in July. By October it was all back. He did fabulous. There are many many options. If liver cancer is not primary a traditional transplant isn't allowed with an unknown donor b/c it could come back via the lymph nodes, etc. HOWEVER...the best best resource is the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Liver Cancer Center - Dr. David Geller is an amazing surgeon who has the best success with surgeries that others don't want to try.....he is outstanding....check into it...and STAY POSITIVE!!!

Hi, I just returned from seeing Laura her spirits are high and her faith strong. She looks great with the exception of loosing her hair. Believe me that is nothing if we can keep her alive with a good quality of life. Thanks for all your responses. Michelle please call me or send your number I will call you back so you won't run up a bill. Your message is very hopeful. I don't understand why the doctors have not removed part of her liver. Laura is in such denial however her dad has stepped in and will help manage her care since her husband is doing very little to help her fight this thing!
